Sources and their licences

Before using a source, we read its licence at the source and record what it allows: indexing, quoting an excerpt, storing, combining, redistributing, reselling an aggregate. Public does not mean free.

Why this page

A page you can read is not data you can reuse. Every line below was read at the source and dated; a source whose licence is not verified is never used. Doubtful cases go to a lawyer before any use.

Reading a right

Allowed: The licence allows it with no condition other than attribution.
Conditional: Allowed under a condition, written below the right.
Forbidden: The licence forbids it: we do not do it.
Not specified: The licence is silent: we do not do it without written agreement.

Connector execution safeguard (RG3)

No connector runs if its source has no verified licence in the register, if the requested use is not allowed, or if the licence review date has expired (INV-06).
